Norfund is a Norwegian development financial institution (DFI) which invests risk capital in profitable private enterprises in most countries of Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Balkans. Any country with a GNI per capita of less than USD 6055 is eligible for these investments. Norfund will contribute to the realisation of viable projects which balance economic, social and environmental considerations.

Storebrand started sale of P&C insurance products to the retail market in late 2006 and acquired the Swedish life insurance and pensions provider SPP in December 2007.
